London is one of the most famous cities of England and in this city there are a lot of interesting place to visit. From visiting the Palace of Westminster to the O2 Arena, passing by numerous other places. I invite you to read 10 things you can do in London / 10 places to visit in London.
I have to say that this post is based on my opinion, that means the places you will find in the list are the places I found most interesting to visit. If you have any other place to add you can do it on the comments and probably I will make a second list in the future.
1- Palace of Westminster
We started the list with the historical Palace of Westminster, its located on the north bank of the River Thames in the City of Westminster, in central London.
The Palace of Westminster is one of the most iconic and representative sites in all of England, because this is where the world-famous Big Ben is located. The palace is one of the four World Heritage Sites of the city of London, declared by UNESCO in 1987.
2- ZSL London Zoo
The London Zoo (also called Regent’s Zoo), ubicated on the Regents Park, is the world’s oldest scientific zoo. It was inaugurated on April 27, 1828 and was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific studies. Currently, the zoo houses 673 species of animals, with 19,289 individuals, making it one of the largest collections in the United Kingdom.
3- Hyde Park
Hyde Park is the most famous park in London, it is part of the four Royal Parks of Kensington Palace, and is the largest of the four. This park has a historical significance, having been the site of several demonstrations and protests. Inside the park is located Serpentina Lake, where you can enjoy the fresh air, an incredible view and the company of swans.
4- Coca-Cola London Eye
The London Eye, located on the south bank of the Thames River, is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom with more than 3.75 million visitors each year. It is the highest cantilever observation wheel in Europe with 135 m (443 ft). Undoubtedly the London Eye will offer you one of the best views of the city.
5- British Museum
Located in Bloomsbury (district on the West End of London). The British Museum is a public institution dedicated to human history, art and culture. It has a collection of around 8 million works, being one of the largest and most complete collections. Most of his works were acquired during the era of the British Empire. Open to the public since 1759, it was the first national public museum in the world.
6- Visit a Theatre
One of the most interesting things you can do is visit one of the many theaters that are in London. To mention some The Old Vic, Phoenix Theater, The London Theater, National Theatre, among others.

8- Stamford Bridge

9- The O2 Arena
The O2 Arena (Located in Greenwich Peninsula) is a multi-use complex. It is currently the most popular music arena in the world. The main use is for music concerts and theater shows. Although there are other activities that you can do, it also houses a cinema, bars and restaurants, you can also climb to the top of the dome on a guided walk and enjoy a beautiful view of the city.
10- More Museums
I want to use the last position to make emphasis in the museums. London is one of the cities in the world with the largest number of museums, in which its culture and history are very well reflected over the years and many of them are free, so if you are visiting for London I recommend you visit at least one museum.
